01. Product Definition
The MEC GrandSpan Pavilion is MECANCO's large-span modular structure — engineered on the proven German Hanger structural principle and purpose-built for events, exhibitions, banquets and large-scale temporary coverage requirements that demand maximum clear span, rapid deployment and uncompromising structural performance.
The GrandSpan Pavilion delivers clear widths of up to 40 meters, extendable in 5-meter bay increments along its length — making it one of the most scalable and versatile large-span temporary structures available in the Indian market.
The primary structural system is built from high-tensile aluminium extrusions — precision-engineered profiles that deliver exceptional strength-to-weight performance, ensuring a structure that is robust and wind-load resistant while remaining light enough for efficient assembly and repeated deployment.
MS components are used for clamping connections, providing the structural rigidity required at all key junction points. The roof and wall membrane systems are fabricated from fire-retardant PVC fabric — available in both transparent and opaque blackout variants — giving the GrandSpan Pavilion the flexibility to serve as a bright, naturally lit open pavilion or a fully enclosed, climate-controlled event hall depending on the application requirement.
The GrandSpan Pavilion is engineered to withstand wind loads of up to 100 kilometres per hour — a performance specification that places it firmly in the category of serious, safety-compliant temporary structures rather than standard event tenting.
The MEC GrandSpan Pavilion is designed for any application where large, unobstructed covered space is required at speed and at scale:
The MEC GrandSpan Pavilion brings German engineering logic to the Indian large-span temporary structure market — delivering a product that operates at a fundamentally different level of performance, safety and finish compared to standard event tenting solutions.
Its aluminium primary structure, fire-retardant membrane system, 100 km/h wind load rating and column-free interior up to 40 meters wide collectively define a temporary structure that performs like a permanent one.
With 5-meter bay increments, it is infinitely scalable from a compact 10m x 5m pavilion to a vast 50m x 100m covered environment — making the GrandSpan Pavilion as versatile as it is capable.
