Custom Fabric Stripe Innovation
MECANCO has always believed that the fabric of an awning is as important as its mechanism. We were among the first in this industry to move beyond the standard uniform stripe — introducing a proprietary multi-sized stripe concept where contrasting colours are offered in varying widths within a single awning fabric.
A dominant colour in a wider band, paired with a contrasting colour in a narrower band — a subtle but powerful shift that opened an entirely new world of customisation for architects and designers seeking something beyond the ordinary.
These custom stripe compositions are not sourced from ready-made striped rolls. They are created by MECANCO — individual solid mono-colour fabric panels are selected, composed and then permanently bonded using a high-frequency pneumatic welding process — ensuring complete waterproofing integrity, perfect colour bonding and an architectural finish that performs beautifully across years of use.
