Indoor Paddle Court Dome
Indoor Pickleball Dome Arena

A large-span, column-free dome membrane structure, purpose-engineered for a premium indoor paddle court and pickleball sports arena.

The structure is built on a circular tubular truss system with flange connections, where the curvature of the dome is elegantly carried forward into the columns themselves — creating a seamless, continuous architectural language from roof to base.

The roofing membrane used is an opaque blackout fabric , selected specifically for superior light control, UV elimination and heat reduction properties.

The dome is engineered at an extended height to fully accommodate the vertical clearance demands of competitive paddle and pickleball play.

Foundation reinforcements, facade integration, air ducting provisions, lighting and MEP service coordination were all resolved at the design engineering stage and executed as an integral part of the final build.

Application & Utility
APPLICATION & UTILITY

Purpose-Built Indoor Sports Dome

Designed as a dedicated indoor sports arena for paddle court and pickleball facilities, this dome structure delivers a large, unobstructed column-free playing environment that meets the specific spatial and functional demands of racquet sports.

The extended dome height ensures full vertical clearance for active gameplay, while the opaque blackout membrane eliminates harsh external light, blocks UV radiation and significantly reduces heat ingress — creating consistent, comfortable and controlled playing conditions throughout the day.

Integrated air ducting provisions support the facility’s internal climate control system, ensuring player comfort across all seasons. The integrated facade system provides complete weather enclosure, allowing the facility to remain fully operational year-round.

Beyond its sporting function, the architectural quality of the dome elevates the overall facility experience — transforming what was previously a non-functional temporary structure into a premium, purpose-built sports destination.

Our Edge
OUR EDGE

From Temporary Shelter To
Permanent Architectural Landmark

MECANCO architectural dome structure
When MECANCO inherited this project, the client was operating under a temporary structure that was failing to meet even the basic functional demands of the facility — let alone the upgraded standards they had invested in.

Our team started from the ground up — literally. Foundation reinforcements were engineered at the base level, the entire roofing structure was redesigned, and every client requirement was built into the design from day one.

From precise extended height specifications to facade integration, blackout performance, UV and heat control, full air ducting and services coordination — every detail was resolved through design engineering before execution.

The result is not merely a sports hall. It is a column-free architectural dome that carries its curvature from roofline to column base, integrates its services invisibly, and creates an indoor arena environment far beyond the ordinary.

Where a temporary shed once stood, a permanent landmark now defines the facility.
